Here is what the land looked like late winter early spring of 2006. The picture is taken from the entrance road looking down towards the future home. The late Osler is seen keep a vigilant eye out for intruders.

Free tires for the asking, tire places were glad to get rid of waste which they would otherwise have to pay to get rid of.
The tires were laid out to form the foundation of the house.
Where the ground was low, they were stacked 2 high.
Jon and I are clearing out some of the nearby trees.
This was the hard part, each tire was packed completely with clay and dirt.
Now Shannon is breaking up the hard clay, the plan is to ultimately turn this hole into a root celar.
